Widend Touring Park is a family-friendly camping and caravanning site that can be found just a short drive from Paignton, at Marldon in Devon. The location is superb; we are only three miles from the beaches and attractions of Torbay, widely known as the English Riviera. Inland and behind us lie the foothills and river valleys of Dartmoor National Park, one of England’s few remaining natural wild places.
Our holiday park is well-drained as we don’t tolerate a soggy pitch. This is a park for people who wish to escape the worldly bustle for a while. Families love it. Young couples dream in it. Older folk wish they had found it earlier. Widend is very much a garden park, landscaped with shrubs, hedges and trees to provide visual breaks, shelters and privacy. It is an immaculate park and its showers, toilets and amenities are clean beyond reproach.
The setting of our touring park is beautiful. Guests can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding rolling countryside as well as being a great base for those who want to explore this wonderful part of Devon. The immediate coastline offers some forty miles of safe beaches in between high cliff walks, enchanting small harbours and river estuaries. These are havens for small sailing boats, fishermen and all manner of water interests. You can walk, ride, swim, fish and explore. You can rest a while in old world pubs or climb Dartmoor’s granite tors. You will never run short of things to do or see.
