Superb accommodation is also available in the Annex. Built in 2010 at a cost of around £1 million, the Annex gives the impression of being a barn conversion rather than a new build. With its local slate roof, sandstone structure and courtyard layout it complements the 350-year-old Hall. Annex A and C offers two-bedroom apartments with en suite bedrooms, open plan living areas, dining area, settee, TV, sink and fridge. All the rooms in the Annex convert to twin en suites.
Our restaurant caters for all tastes. This includes a selection of well respected homemade pies, fish, chicken, steak and vegetarian dishes and in addition to our main menu, we offer a regularly changing specials menu. Our bar/ lounge area is perfect for reading a newspaper, having a tipple and relaxing. Our bar is well stocked and serves an extensive range of ales.
Many places to explore are nearby, such as the Yorkshire Dales, Windermere, Hadrian’s Wall, Cat Bell & Skiddaw.
