A Spacious Cottage in Wonderful Private Grounds!
Heron Cottage offers fabulous self-catering accommodation in Poughill. Our largest cottage is nestled within wonderful private grounds and has all-weather facilities to enjoy. The pretty seaside town of Bude is nearby and we are a brilliant base for exploring a range of attractions in Cornwall.
Our cosy cottage sleeps up to 4 adults and 2 children and is furnished to the highest standards. A lovely open plan room comes with a large lounge, a Shaker-style kitchen and an elegant dining area. On the same level are 3 bedrooms, one double with king-size bed and two twin-bedded rooms. Quality cotton bed linen and fluffy cottage hand and bath towels are provided in all the rooms. The master bedroom comes with en suite facilities and a separate family bathroom is also available.
The cottage overlooks the original stable courtyard and grass area outside where you will find a table, seating and gas BBQ. The perfect spot for a morning coffee or a glass of wine in the afternoon.
Luxurious facilities are available onsite for the whole family. We have a heated indoor pool and jacuzzi, spa treatments, heated outdoor pool (seasonal), gym and sauna. We also have activities for children, such as a games room and play areas. A variety of horse-riding experiences are available and we have a tennis court.
We also have further properties available onsite and can accommodate a group of 30 when letting all the cottages together – please enquire for details.
The charming seaside town Bude is within walking distance of us. The town has something for everyone, including sandy beaches, Bude Sea Pool, Bude Castle and lots of fabulous restaurants. Within 30 minutes to an hour’s drive, you will find a brilliant range of wonderful historic houses to visit, including Prideaux Place, Pencarrow and The Lost Gardens of Heligan.
