High Fold Guesthouse offers fabulous accommodation in Troutbeck, less than 3 miles from Windermere and the Lakeshore. Our charming Cumbrian guest house is set in its own beautiful grounds and is only around 4 miles from Ambleside, perfect for a tranquil break.
We have an array of elegantly designed rooms available, all of which boast stunning views of the Troutbeck Valley. Two of the rooms, Kirkstone and Applethwaite, have super king-size beds, whilst Kentmere comes with an opulent four-poster bed.
In the morning we offer a fantastic breakfast in our dining room. While tucking into a delicious breakfast you can savour the breathtaking views over Applethwaite and the Troutbeck Valley. We use locally sourced produce wherever possible and you are welcome to help yourself to fruit juice, granola, muesli, cereal, fresh fruit and yoghurt. Tea/coffee, locally baked sourdough toast, fruit and herbal teas are also available.
High Fold Guest House provides a central base to explore Troutbeck, Ambleside, Windermere and the Lake District. Its rural location makes it particularly popular with walkers and cyclists - or those who simply wish to 'get away from it all' and sample peace and tranquillity in beautiful surroundings.
