A Victorian Guest House in Coastal Staithes!

Roraima House in Staithes offers wonderful guest house accommodation in a beautiful Victorian house. Our guest house in North Yorkshire is the ideal place to escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

Our lovely guest house was built in the 1890s by the sea captain John Trattles and named after his steamship the SS Roraima. On the first floor are a four-poster and double room. Both rooms are en suite and enjoy spectacular views of Boulby Cliff and the surrounding countryside.

The top floor has a self-contained area which can accommodate up to four people in a double and twin room. There is a well-equipped kitchen/diner with a settee and TV/DVD player. Both rooms share a bathroom with a shower over bath. The rooms boast breathtaking views. All the bedrooms include tea and coffee-making facilities.

Breakfast is served in our charming dining room. We offer locally sourced bacon and sausages accompanied by mushrooms, tomatoes, hash brown, free-range eggs and baked beans. Cereals, fruit juice, fruit, yoghurt and freshly baked bread are available for you to help yourself.

Staithes is a great base for visiting the coastline and the North York Moors National Park. The Staithes Heritage Centre is a must and there are lots of great walks on the Cleveland Way. There are plenty of other coastal villages/towns to visit. Runswick Bay, Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, Port Mulgrave, Saltburn and Scarborough are particularly worth visiting.
