Sheriff Lodge is a charming bed and breakfast situated in the Derbyshire County town of Matlock. Located on the edge of The Peak District National Park, our B&B is an excellent base for those wishing to discover the area's many attractions and wealth of beautiful scenery.
The award-winning and newly renovated B&B offers everything you need for a special getaway. All the rooms are individually and elegantly decorated with en suite bathrooms. It is nestled in an elevated position and boast stunning views over the Derwent Valley, Riber Castle, High Tor and Pic Tor.
There are 5 bedrooms to choose from, offering super king-sized doubles, twins and a triple.
You can savour a truly fabulous breakfast from the restaurant style menu. From homemade bread to toast to a full Derbyshire breakfast using local produce, there is something for everyone. Cereals, yoghurts, fruit and homemade marmalade and jam are also available. You can treat yourself to a sumptuous afternoon tea if you fancy indulging, offering a variety of fresh, homemade delicacies.
You can unwind the drawing room after a day sightseeing, with books, music, maps, current magazines, history books and games available. Outside there is plenty of seating areas, perfect for a enjoying a glass of wine whilst admiring the breathtaking views over the Derwent Valley.
The town of Matlock is situated on the edge of the Peak District National Park. A former spa town lying alongside the River Derwent, Matlock is the historic County town of Derbyshire. The town itself offers a variety of shops and there are numerous places to dine and stay in the vicinity. As a base the town is convenient for attractions at Matlock Bath, the Heights of Abraham, Gulliver's Kingdom, Masson Mills shopping village and much more.
