Old Station Farm offers outstanding self catering accommodation in the charming village of Amotherby. It is only 3 miles from the pretty market town of Malton and perfect for an idyllic getaway in North Yorkshire.
The gorgeous, limestone Georgian property sleeps up to 15 people and is ideal for a family or group looking for somewhere special to stay. This majestic house boasts an array of period features, including high ornate ceilings, original fireplaces, window shutters and sash windows. Each room is elegantly furnished and styled with fabulous antique pieces to provide high-quality accommodation.
A spacious main sitting room includes a toasty open fire, lavish seating and enjoys delightful views over the garden. The ideal place to unwind after a busy day sightseeing. A well-equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking up a storm in and includes an electric cooker, an AGA in the winter months, microwave, American style fridge/freezer with ice dispenser, washing machine, dishwasher, plus a small breakfast room. Savour some delicious food in the magnificent dining room in front of the roaring open fire, whilst comfortable seating and a TV offer additional space to relax in.
Upstairs there are six beautiful bedrooms, three of which are four-poster beds and three with en suites. All bed linen and towels are included.
Outside there is a charming garden wrapped around the cottage, with lawns and an orchard, great for al fresco dining on a warm, sunny day over a few glasses of wine.
It is only a 3-minute stroll to the local pub which offers good ales and Cantonese food, whilst the delightful town of Malton is home to superb restaurants, quaint tea rooms and a weekly market. Only 4 miles away are the stately homes and gardens of Castle Howard and the area is great for scenic walks and cycle rides.
