Little Quarme Cottages offers wonderful self catering accommodation in Wheddon Cross near Minehead. The cottages in Somerset are set in 17 acres of rolling countryside. Situated on a stunning private estate, this is perfect for exploring Exmoor National Park.
There are six superb cottages to choose from. Each cottage sleeps between 2 and 6 guests and boasts unique country charm. All the cottages have breathtaking views of Exmoor’s glorious landscape.
Exford Cottage: This ground-floor property sleeps up to 2 people. A wide flower border separates it from the next-door cottage. The lounge comes with comfy seating, a dining table, a fireplace with a coal effect electric stove and 25’’ TV with Sky Freeview and a DVD player. The fully equipped kitchen will suit all your needs and outside is a lovely fenced garden with garden furniture. An ideal place for a spot of al fresco dining. The twin en suite room comes with quality bed linen and the bathroom has a shower over the bath.
Winsford Cottage: Also a ground-level cottage that sleeps up to 2 people but is slightly smaller than Exford Cottage next door. The quaint cottage-style garden comes with garden furniture and enjoys views down the Quarme Valley. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a lounge area which comes with a sofa, armchair, dining table, stone fireplace with a cast-iron coal effect fire and 32’ TV with Sky Freeview and a DVD player. The en suite bedroom comes with a double bed and the bathroom has a shower over the bath.
Stable Cottage: This beautifully furnished cottage sleeps up to 4 people and is our largest property. The lounge comes with two large sofas, a stone fireplace with an electric cast iron log effect fire, 40’’ TV with Sky Freeview and a DVD player. The kitchen is well equipped with a range of appliances including a dishwasher and washing machine. Upstairs there are is a twin and double bedroom. The bathroom comes with a bath over the shower. Outside is a fenced patio with garden furniture.
Dunkery Cottage: This superb cottage faces west, so great for beautiful sunsets, and sleeps up to 4 people. There is a small walled patio area with garden furniture. The kitchen window and double bedrooms boast far-reaching views down the valley. The lounge comes with a 3 piece suite, stone fireplace and electric cast iron log effect fire and 32’’ TV with Sky Freeview and a DVD player. The dining table seats up to 4 people and the kitchen is well equipped including a dishwasher, fridge freezer and washing machine. Upstairs there is a double and twin room. The bathroom comes with a bath over the shower.
Rose Cottage: This wonderful cottage sleeps up to 4 people and enjoys lovely views across the garden. The lounge has two sofas, a dining table, a stone fireplace with a cast iron electric fire and 40’’ TV with Sky Freeview and a DVD player. The well-equipped kitchen comes with pine units, washing machine and a dishwasher. Upstairs there are two bedrooms: one double and one twin. The bathroom comes with a shower over the bath.
Quarme Cottage: Sleeps up to 6 people, preferably for 4 adults and two children. The cottage has a south-facing position and enjoys glorious views down the Quarme Valley. There’s an enclosed garden with garden furniture and to the front of the cottage is a large area of grass under a huge beech tree with panoramic rural views. The lounge comes with two sofas, oak dining table, a fireplace with a cast iron electric stove and 32’’ TV with Sky Freeview and a DVD player. On the same floor is a small bunk room with full-size bunks. A kitchen comes with a dishwasher, fridge and separate freezer, washing machine, microwave, electric hob and oven, ample china, pots, pans, kettle and toaster. Upstairs there is one double and one twin room. The bathroom has a shower over the bath.

The village of Wheddon Cross is within walking distance across the fields and has a well-stocked shop, garage, pub and church. There is direct access to footpaths leading to Snowdrop Valley and Dunkery Beacon - two thousand acres of open heather moorland with lovely walks and breathtaking views. It is are just 7 miles to the medieval village of Dunster and 9 miles from the beach and start of the South West Coastal Path at Minehead. Porlock, Lynton and Lynmouth are all within an easy drive of Little Quarme.
