Kale Pot Cottage offers charming self catering accommodation in Newtondale, only 10 miles from the bustling market town of Pickering. It is based in a gorgeous countryside setting and deep in the heart of the North York Moors National Park.
This wonderful cottage is a haven for relaxation and tranquillity, set in a secluded position on a 3-acre paddock but only 100 yards from a forest road. The only neighbours you will see are the odd badger, fox and deer, offering a truly authentic rural getaway.
A fully-equipped kitchen is great for home-cooking and includes a ceramic hob with an oven and grill, dishwasher, fridge and small separate freezer, microwave and automatic washing machine-dryer. You can unwind in the cosy living room after a day roaming the countryside. Facilities include an HD TV with Freesat, a DVD player and a toasty log burner for the winter months.
A downstairs double bedroom comes with en suite facilities and there is also a twin bedroom and separate wetroom. Space for a third bed can be provided. All bed linen and towels are included.
Outside there is a delightful walled patio with garden furniture and a BBQ area, great for a glass of wine whilst savouring the glorious views.
Right on the doorstep is an abundance of scenic walks and cycles routes, from forestry tracks to the open moor. It is halfway between Levisham Station and Newtondale Halt on the North York Moors Railway, ideal for train enthusiasts. Only 45 minutes away is the famous city of York, home to great attractions, brilliant restaurants, interesting shops and much more.
