Wellwood Lodge offers wonderful self catering accommodation in Buxton, Derbyshire. The property sleeps up to 14, perfect for a family or group looking for somewhere special to stay.
The house is set within its own gardens with hill pastures to the rear and stunning long distance views to the front, accessible to the hills just around the corner.
There is a very spacious lounge with a coal effect gas fire, 42 inch smart TV, DVD player, iPod & iPhone compatible docking Speaker and CD radio player. The dining room has seating for 12/14 people, the square table is graced with elegant white contemporary crockery, a 32-inch lazy susan adds to the fun of reaching your condiments.
The well-equipped kitchen has ample work surfaces and storage, an electric Neff oven, grill and microwave, a range style 6 burner gas hob over 2 additional electric ovens with grills, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. The kitchen leads through to the recently renovated Victorian style conservatory with sitting area, and door to rear garden. Downstairs toilet with shower cubicle and washbasin; utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
The cellar rooms have a snooker table, table football, hoopla and darts board.
On the first floor, there is a twin bedroom and 3 double bedrooms with king size beds, one with an additional single bed and another with en suite. The second floor has 1 twin bedroom and 1 bedroom with king size double and single bed. 2 of the king beds are zip link thus offering 12 separate beds if required.
Stay at Wellwood Lodge and you will be able to explore beautiful countryside by walking from your door - a scenic wetlands eco area and woodland are just around the corner, while for a longer hike, you can access heather moorland by traversing the many picturesque footpaths. The bustling market towns of Bakewell and Ashbourne are a short, scenic drive away as are many National Trust properties. Chatsworth, the seat of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, and Haddon Hall, a fine example of Elizabethan architecture, are amongst England's finest non-affiliated properties.

Access to Buxton is a 10 minutes walk along quiet streets. There is plenty to please all generations in this beautiful town inspired by Georgian architects to build the notable Octagon, Crescent, Devonshire dome and parish church of St Johns. Of particular note are the beautiful Pavilion gardens, where lakes, the infant river Wye with it small cascade meanders through, a recreational train track, and water fowl in large numbers share space with happy children enjoying designated play areas. Additionally the notable Pooles Cavern is within walking distance.
