Talehay Holiday Cottages in Tremaine offers fabulous self catering accommodation in beautifully converted stone-built cottages, surrounded by idyllic open countryside. Based near Looe in a peaceful part of Cornwall, this is the perfect place to escape from the pressure of modern life.
The charming cottages are nestled around a central courtyard, with large communal gardens and lawned areas available, great for picnics in the afternoon sun. Outside each property, there is also garden furniture for enjoying a glass of wine in the afternoon sun. Three and a half acres of fully enclosed meadow are available to the rear of the main house. Children can have fun in the playground and BBQs are available on request. Electric vehicle charging is available at Barn and Owl cottages.
The Lodge - Sleeps 2 plus Cot/Z bed: This spacious open plan studio cottage offers a touch of luxury to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Inside there is a fully equipped galley kitchen with a fan oven and ceramic hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment and a washer dryer. A cosy lounge comes with a flat-screen TV with Freeview and a DVD player, whilst the dining area comes with lovely leather chairs. Enjoy a restful night’s sleep on the king-size bed and the bathroom comes with an electric shower over the bath.
The Coach House - Sleeps 2 plus Cot/Z bed: This delightful ground level cottage is great for a romantic getaway and enjoys stunning views over open countryside to the rear. The double bedroom comes with a comfy king bed and the en suite bathroom has an electric shower over the bath. A fully equipped galley kitchen comes with a fan oven and ceramic hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment and a washer dryer. After a busy day sightseeing, relax in the lounge which has a flat-screen TV with Freeview and a DVD player.
The Barn - Sleeps 2: This superb 2 storey traditional cottage comes with oak beams, slate window sills and a stone fireplace. Cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen which has a fan oven and ceramic hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment and a washer dryer. Unwind in the lounge which has a flat-screen smart TV with Freeview and a DVD player. The double bedroom can accommodate a Z bed.
Owl Cottage – Sleeps 4: This wonderful 2 storey traditional cottage offers lots of fantastic features, including oak beams, slate windows sill and a stone fireplace. A lovely kitchen includes a fan oven and ceramic hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment and a washer dryer. Catch your favourite TV show on the flat-screen TV in the lounge. Bedrooms consist of a ground floor double and a first-floor twin room. Both rooms share a bathroom on the first floor.
This is an ideal touring base all year round to get away from the pressures of everyday life, where you can relax and recharge the batteries in the peace and quiet of the Cornish countryside. Beaches, sailing, fishing, diving, golf, cycling, walking and horse riding are all available nearby. The whole family can enjoy a great day out at the Eden Project and adrenalin junkies will love kartworld. Cycle along the famous Camel Trail or visit Lanhydrock House, a stunning Victorian house with gorgeous gardens and woodlands.
