Upper Court Cottages are a selection of fabulous self catering cottages that are set in 15 acres of beautiful gardens and grounds. The holiday cottages are on the grounds of Upper Court which is a wonderful location for a wedding, corporate event or group event. These self catering cottages are within the village of Kemerton which is only a short drive from the historic riverside town of Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire.
There are three self catering cottages available, The Coach House, The Courtyard Cottage and The Dovecote. There are also 5 guest rooms within the majestic manor house and a charming studio flat. The coaching archway leads to into a gorgeous courtyard which houses two of the cottages, whilst Dovecote is tucked away near the stream.
The Coach House – Sleeps 16: Originally a coach house and stables which date from 1760, our property has now been beautifully renovated to offer quality accommodation. Inside there is a superb 30ft living room and a welcoming room with two long refectory tables seating up to 12 at each table, a large fireplace with a cosy log burning stove, TV and DVD, comfortable chairs and sofas. The kitchen is perfect for cooking up a storm and includes a range of excellent appliances: Belfast sink, large fridge and separate freezer, dishwasher and washer/drier machine, and steel range cooker.
Bedrooms consist of a king room en suite room, a twin room with use of shared bathroom, a zip and link en suite room, a family room and a further zip and link room which uses a shared bathroom. The property adjoins the Stables which also has a ground floor double en suite and a family room. Outside there is a lovely entrance patio and tennis court.
The Courtyard Cottage – Sleeps 6 plus 2: This quaint cottage is elegantly furnished and comes with a beamed drawing room, antique fireplace with iron stove and a mellow terracotta tile floor. A separate dining room has a large refectory table which seats 8. On the first floor is a zip and link double room, a double room, a shower room and bathroom. The second floor has 4 singles.
The Dovecote – Sleeps 2: This gorgeous property is perfect for a magical getaway, set on the banks of a private lake. You can gaze at the swans floating on the river or drift across the lake on our delightful boat, ultimate the offering romantic holiday for 2. Inside there is a stylish open plan lounge/kitchen, underfloor heating and flame effect stove. On the first floor there is a magnificent fours poster bed and the second floor has a small double, with a curtain separating it from the bathroom.
The Attic – Upper Court Manor Houser – Sleeps 2 plus 1: This superb flat is based in the manor house and offers a lovely studio-style space to enjoy. Inside there is a kitchenette, single bed and cosy living space to unwind in. The adjoining bathroom has a shower over the bath. Outside there is a private seating area in the garden which enjoys lake views.
If you’re looking for a relaxing break, abandon your car and enjoy some of Upper Court’s many activities and facilities. From tennis to pottery and swimming to beauty treatments, Upper Court has something for everyone. If you fancy exploring a little further afield the beautiful Cotswolds and lively Cheltenham are on your doorstep. The covered swimming pool is open from May to early September (depending on weather) Please bring your own swimming towels. Children must be with an adult please. The tennis court is open all year for your use. Please bring your own rackets and balls. Tennis shoes only must be worn – thank you.
