Coastal Cottages!
Bank End Farm is hidden on the south coast of the Isle of Wight, in an idyllic location, renowned for its mild climate. There are 3 lovingly converted self catering barns sleeping 2-8 people, 2 self catering bungalows each sleeping 6 and 2 yurts each sleeping 4.
Beachcombers Cottage: Can be found hidden in a truly spectacular location with stunning coastal views. This well-equipped cottage sits in an attractive open courtyard of ancient barns and is the largest of the farm’s cottages. The original large barn doorway is now glazed and leads into a light open plan dining room with stairs leading to a galleried landing. The landing leads off to a spacious and relaxing open plan sitting room. Beachcombers has been lovingly converted to preserve much of its original character. The cottage has stunning coastal views from both the sitting room and the two twin rooms.
Lobster Pot: A beautiful stone cottage in a wonderful location on the south coast of the Island, minutes from the sea. The cottage is one of three sitting in an attractive open courtyard. Lobster Pot has been sympathetically converted, preserving many original features including the exposed beams, and is furnished and equipped to a high standard.
Fisherman’s Cottage: Stands in an open courtyard with stunning sea views. It was once an old fisherman’s smokery but has now been renovated to provide a compact comfortable self catering cottage ideal for 2 people. The open plan ground floor extends into a small conservatory with wonderful sea views. Stairs lead up to a pretty, double bedroom again with sea views. A peaceful retreat, perfect for couples. Ideal as a base for walking or cycling holidays or just to rest and relax.
Swallows & Swifts: Both have wonderful sea views across the fields. The nearest cove is just a 5-minute walk through the farm. Both bungalows have been furnished with great care and provide attractive and comfortable accommodation which is all on one level.
There are a good variety of places to eat on the island. A few of the more local places we recommend are listed below and an ‘Eating Out on the Island’ Guide can be found in each of our cottages.
St Lawrence has many interesting places to visit, all within easy walking distance. The island also has several attractions within a 30-minute drive of Bank End Farm. A welcome pack in each of the cottage gives up to date details of all local attractions.
