Escape to Kionslieu where a choice of 4 star Gold award-winning self catering holiday homes are offered on the outskirts of Foxdale Village. Just a short walk from the village shop and pub and in a perfect central location from which to explore the beautiful Isle of Man.
The farm is surrounded by amazing walks and wildlife and great off road cycle tracks, they have a lockable bike shed with charging points for ebikes. They understand that a break away means rest and relaxation, so you won’t be woken up by tractors coming down the lane at 5 am or milk lorries collecting, however, you are very welcome to meet the horses or feed the goats during your stay.
The 5 traditional cottages are fully equipped, full of charm and character and all with good wifi.
During your stay you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the Secret Garden which boasts a luxurious hot tub spa in which to soak away your aches and pains. This magical haven is just a short stroll from the cottage and can be booked 24 hours in advance.
Peacock’s Rest – sleeping 2 guests is perfect place for a romantic break or honeymoon with a beamed bedroom with king sized bed.
Bathroom with bath & rainfall shower over a full sized bath.
Open plan living space with lounge, dining room and kitchen.
Outside seating area with sunny south-facing courtyard.
Haybarn Cottage – part of the Manx stone barn sleeps 6 guests so ideal for larger families and includes master bedroom with king-size bed.
Second bedroom with multi-way set up, either twin room or super king-size bed Third bedroom with adult-sized bunk beds.
A folding bed is available at an additional cost.
The bathroom has a shower over a full size bath & there is an additional cloakroom with sink & wc downstairs Spacious open plan kitchen, dining and lounge with French windows open out to the outside seating area on the sunny, south-facing courtyard.
Turkeytree Cottage – part of the Manx stone barn sleeps 5 guests in 2 bedrooms and includes Master bedroom with multi-way setup. This room can be a super king-size bed plus a single or 3 singles beds.
Second bedroom has a superking -size bed and space for a folding bed at an additional cost.
The bathroom has a shower over a full size bath & there is an additional cloakroom with sink & wc downstairs spacious open plan kitchen, dining and lounge and outside seating area on the sunny, south-facing courtyard.
Blackberry Cottage – A spacious cottage with all ground floor accommodation sleeping 4 guests in 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a super king sized bed & a folding bed is available at an additional cost. The second bedroom has a set of adult-sized bunk beds.
The bathroom has a shower over a full size bath The living area is open plan with kitchen, dining area and lounge & just outside your cottage is patio furniture and in the nearby gardens play equipment for children.
Blackberry Cottage is also suitable for those with limited mobility & has been awarded the National Accessible Scheme – Rating of Mobility 1.
Redwheel Cottage – A spacious cottage with all ground floor accommodation sleeping 4 guests in 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a super king sized bed & French windows opening into the gardens, a folding bed is available at an additional cost.
The second bedroom has a set of adult-sized bunk beds.
The bathroom has a full sized bath and a wet room shower which can be fitted with additional rails if required.
The living area is open plan with kitchen, dining area and lounge & just outside your cottage is patio furniture and in the nearby gardens, play equipment for children.
Redwheel Cottage is suitable for those with limited mobility & has been awarded the National Accessible Scheme – Rating of Mobility 1. Redwheel can also be fitted with a ramp and has wider than usual doorways, additional bars can be provided by the bath/shower & we can also provide a frame around the wc.
The Isle of Man is a fantastic place to visit at any time of year. Whether you are looking for an active break or relaxing holiday. A huge variety of wildlife calls the Isle of Man its home and for lovers of wildflowers, you will find that there are a plethora of different species. During your stay, why not take a tour on the Manx Sealife Safari or contact the Wild Flowers of Mann project. There are also plenty of walks on the island, the Read Ny Follian is the coastal footpath and allows you to see the incredible sights of sea birds and in certain months, basking sharks and porpoises.
For astronomers, you will find this a great place to observe the night skies with the Isle of Man Astronomical Society Observatory just a short walk from Kionslieu and the dark night skies providing opportunities to view the stars.
