Shormary Cottage offers charming self catering accommodation near Thurso. Based on the shore of the Pentland Firth on Scotland’s north coast, we are in a great location for admiring the amazing natural beauty of the area.
They are the ideal place to escape from the pressures of modern life, surrounded by glorious scenery. You can enjoy direct access to the beach or walk along the headland in either direction.
The cottage is tastefully furnished and comes with a relaxing sitting room to unwind in after a day sightseeing. The kitchen/diner is well-equipped with a range of appliances for home-dining. In total, there are 2 bedrooms, 1 twin and 1 double. Both room share a shower room. Outside there is seating for al fresco dining whilst savouring the views.
Facilities include: telephone, Freeview TV, DVD Player, CD Player/radio, cooker, microwave, washing machine & shower. electricity and linen costs are included in the weekly hire charge.
From the property you can see the world-famous Northern Lights. The area also offers an abundance of wildlife, including dolphins, whales, herons, buzzards and puffins. You can fish at some of the local lochs or take a tour of The Castle of Mey. Take a scenic tour on Seacoast Cruise at John O’Groats or explore the beautiful Orkney Islands.
