The Merry Harriers offers superb accommodation and wonderful food in the gorgeous village of Hambledon, nestled in the Surrey Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The inn dates to the 16th Century and is brimming with charm and character, perfect for an unforgettable getaway.
The family and dog friendly inn offers excellent food, award-winning local ales and wines, a lovely garden, first-rate accommodation and an element of the unexpected with our friendly herd of llama treks.
They have an array of boutique-style bedrooms available, perfect for a magical break in a great location. The newly refurbished inn rooms are based on the 1st floor and blend ancient oak beams with modern rural furnishings. The 4 gorgeous double en suite rooms enjoy glorious views of the surrounding countryside. You can also stay in one of our 6 garden rooms which boast a country cottage chic style. These double rooms are set within the private pathway adjacent to the pub and enjoy lovely paddock and garden views.
All of the rooms come with a range of excellent facilities: smart flat-screen TV with Netflix, radio alarm, en suite bathroom, luxury toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer, tea and coffee making facilities and luxury towelling robes and toiletries.
They also offer outstanding accommodation in the lavish shepherd huts, set beside a scenic pond that overlooks fields. These cosy, high-quality huts come with a downy double bed, underfloor heating, log burner, a cosy seating area with games, a kitchen area and a luxurious bathroom. They also come equipped with a Netflix enabled smart TV and hair dryer. Outside there is a firepit for huddling around whilst gazing at the starry night sky. You can also unwind on the teak sun chairs when the sun is shining.
While staying here, savour some wonderful local produce from the kitchen. From a hearty sirloin steak to a massaman curry, they have something for everyone. At the bar, they serve a variety of real Surrey Ales, local and international wines and bubbles, plus gins and our award-winning bloody Mary. You can also relax with a drink or two in the garden when the sun is shining.
They have a herd of 11 friendly llamas, plus two new babies, tucked behind the inn in the paddocks. These majestic creatures offer families, friends and groups a truly memorable experience through a range of trekking options, from winter morning to summer evening treks.
