The Blacksmiths Arms is in the beautiful Cumbrian village of Talkin and is just have a mile from Talkin Tarn Lake in the Lake District. The inn offers tasty home-cooked food, traditional ales and comfortable and cosy guest accommodation which is ideally located for those visiting the Lake District.

All of the guest rooms are tastefully furnished and have their own en suite facilities, televisions, toiletries, direct phone and tea/coffee making facilities. Ground floor rooms are also available.

Breakfast is available downstairs in the restaurant or bar, offering a full Cumberland breakfast using fresh local produce. A lighter option of cereals, pastries and fresh juices is also available.

The pub serves great meals or bar snacks, with a separate restaurant area serving a full menu with daily specials. In the summer months, you can enjoy a drink or two in the pleasant beer garden.

The guest accommodation is in a great location. Brampton Golf Course is very close by and they are well situated for all types of outdoor pursuits such as walking, golfing, fishing and pony trekking. The Borders, Hadrian's Wall, The Lake District and many other famous historical and scenic places are all within easy reach.
