The Mill House offers luxurious self catering in a glorious location, nestled on the water’s edge overlooking Lindisfarne Bay. Situated near Berwick-upon-Tweed in a tranquil area of Northumberland, perfect for a special getaway.

This wonderful property is a haven for peace and relaxation, offering spectacular views over to Holy Island in the north, Lindisfarne Castle and the beacons to the east and Bamburgh Castle to the south. The house blends original character with modern facilities to suit all needs. Throughout the house, you can savour amazing sea views.

The house sleeps 8 people and two infants under the age of two, ideal for larger groups. Lovely features include old stone walls and wooden beams with underfloor heating, power showers and designer fabrics. On the ground floor is a large dining room with a piano and table to seat 10. Enjoy some home cooking in the fully equipped kitchen that comes with a range of appliances including a three-oven range with induction hob.

A spacious triple-aspect sitting room has a seat around the bay window to take advantage of the spectacular views. There is lots of comfy seating, a smart TV and DVDs. You can also unwind in the sun-filled conservatory.

Upstairs there are 3 large bedrooms with en suites, including two shower over baths and one large walk-in shower. One room can be made as super king or twin, whilst a second bedroom comes with a king size bed. A third bedroom has twin beds A further ground floor king en suite room is suitable for people with limited mobility.

Outside there is a south-facing garden, Monkey Puzzle trees and a large lawn that offers outstanding views. The fully sheltered sitooterie has a large table and chairs under cover and a barbeque area, great for al fresco dining over a glass or two.

This is a great position for exploring the area and overlook Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve, home to an abundance of wildlife and flora and fauna. Light-bellied brent geese, mute swans, shelducks, eider ducks, curlews and redshanks can often be seen throughout the year. You can explore the sandy beaches at Cocklawburn, Bamburgh, Seahouses and Craster, or visit the historic town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, home to shops and cafes.
