The Sidings in Shipton By Beningbrough in North Yorkshire, offers truly unique B&B accommodation around 5 Pullman style railway carriages. Founded in 1985 by a former railwayman with a love for railways, this accommodation near York will prove to be a truly memorable experience.
The accommodation really is a sight to behold. Part of the carriages have been converted into a dining area, allowing tables of 4 to overlook the track. Other carriages at this stunning venue have been converted into rooms, allowing guests to enjoy this wonderful experience. Guests can also relax and unwind in the large and comfortable sun room which enjoys spectacular views of the Yorkshire countryside.
All the rooms are dotted with railway memorabilia and the rooms in the Pullman Carriages all come with en suite facilities including a range of room types: single, twin, doubles and the four poster double. All rooms include tea and coffee making facilities, and a television and hairdryer. Toiletries and bathroom linen is included.
You can look forward to a delicious full English breakfast in the morning, available from 8 am at no extra cost. The Sidings has an excellent restaurant to tantalise your taste buds for lunch and dinner. From baked sea bass to a mixed grill, there is something for everyone.
