Owley Woods offers luxurious, adult's only glamping in a wonderful part of Somerset. Located on The West Mendip Way, this peaceful glamping site enjoys views overlooking Cheddar Village & Cheddar Reservoir. It is a small quite site with only 5 Lotus Belle Tents, perfect for those who are looking for a place to escape the hustle and bustle of modern day living.
Each tent is fully equipped with indoor and outdoor equipment. ‘The Owlet’ is our bathroom block with flushing toilets and showers and The ‘Cheats’ kitchen has those essentials like kettle, toaster and mains electric! These luxurious glamping tents are perfect for those who want to experience nature without sacrificing the creature comforts we love. Each tent includes:
King size bed.
Cosy bedding, throws & cushions.
Table & chairs.
Bunting & fairy lights.
Outside is a private seating area with a firepit/BBQ and wood burning stove.
All you need to bring is clothing, towels, provisions and a torch for stress free glamping. the Cheats Kitchen has mains electric and solar portable power packs with USB sockets are provided for phone charging. The tents are off grid and a fantastic opportunity to enjoy some screen-free time.
The bathroom facilities have two flushing toilets, two hot showers and heated radiators. There is also an outside covered area for washing up, bowls, washing up liquid and tea towels all provided.
You could not ask for a better location for walking. The 30 mile long West Mendip Way which runs from Uphill near Weston Super Mare and ends in Wells passes Owley woods on the way and links to the Gorge Walks with spectacular views. Mascall’s Wood which is adjacent to the site also has pretty woodland walks with wild garlic and bluebells in the spring adding to the charm. Owley enjoys visits from many types of wildlife. Watch the rabbits play, listen to the pheasants calling and if you are lucky you may catch a glimpse of the deer in the woods. At night the badgers and foxes can often be seen and we are surrounded by owls hooting! We also have a Lesser Horseshoe bat roost in one of our barns and we have a wildlife buffer around the site so that they can feed undisturbed.

Prices start at just £100 per night in low season including your first basket of logs etc and complimentary tea and coffee.
2 night minimum stay.
Open March to October.
Dogs must stay on a lead on site but we do have a dog walking area in the next paddock for those early morning and late night trips.
Disabled facilities available by arrangement - please enquire for details.
To protect the wildlife and preserve the tranquility Owley Woods is an adult only quiet site with no noise after 11pm at night and we do not accept group bookings without prior arrangement. Sorry but we are not suitable for stag or hen parties. All bookings must be for a minimum of two nights with discounts available for seven day stays.
