Farm Holiday!
Gwyliau Fferm Crugeran Farm Holidays offers self-catering holiday accommodation in Sarn Mellteyrn, Pwllheli, Gwynedd. Crugeran is a beef, sheep and cereal farm set in the heart of the Lleyn Peninsula. It is a ¼ of a mile from the village of Sarn Mellteyrn with its pottery, tea rooms, three good pubs (one of which offers food) and a butcher (newly opened). There is a shop with a post office, and a garage with a shop that rents out DVDs in the village, as well as a small playing field which can be reached by a pleasant walk through one of the farm fields.
There are three cottages available for holidays:-
Stabal - a new barn conversion.
The Lloftstabal "Stableloft"- where the farm workers used to sleep in the old days.
Ysgubor - our second new barn conversion.
All three cottages have been very tastefully decorated in keeping with their character with a number of antique furniture throughout.
All three cottages -
Have a colour TV and DVD players, CD/Hifi system.
Have a cot, high chair and safety gate available.
Include electricity in the rent.
Include bed linen - except for cots - in the rent. Plus the beds are made up for your arrival.
1 hand towel and 1 bath towel per person will be provided - for cottage use only.
Have separate sitting areas i.e. patios with picnic tables, and ample parking areas in a large communal lawned garden with fruit trees, making the cottages ideal for individual parties or a larger split party.
Provide spacious, comfortable and clean accommodation.
The garden offers barbeque facilities, swings, a slide, football goals, a den and playhouse and a fantastic trampoline – a huge favourite with our guests! The garden is enclosed and safe and is proving to be a big attraction with children - of all ages!! Each year we try to provide something new in the garden especially since a lot of our guests return.
The laundry room is for the convenience of all 3 properties and includes a tumble drier and washing machine on coin meters, plus a deep freeze. Stabal and Ysgubor now have their own small freezer in each cottage.
Stabal :
Stabal is one of our two new barn conversions. With its own furnished patio, it offers an ideal area for alfresco meals or just relaxing in the sunshine.
Stabal has a wealth of beams and open stone walls and is very tastefully decorated. It has a beautiful fully equipped oak Kitchen including a dishwasher, microwave and small freezer.
Stabal has full central heating, a colour TV, video and DVD player, and CD/Hifi system. A cot, high chair, and safety gate is also available. All the pine furniture was bought locally and hand-made by a craftsman in keeping with the traditional styles. Downstairs Stabal has a beautiful cream 4-poster double bed with ensuite facilities. The bathroom has a shower cubicle, and a large whirlpool-type bath - great to relax in!
Stabal is suitable for the infirm who can cope with a few outside steps. Upstairs there is a cosy second bedroom with a double and single bed and a private shower room.
This makes Stabal ideal for two couples wanting to share a cottage but having private facilities.

Llofftstabl :
Llofftstabl (The stableloft)is a stableloft where the farm workers used to sleep in the old days.
This open-beamed accommodation is all on the first floor. There are two bedrooms - one Victorian brass and iron double bed with new luxury Egyptian cotton bedding, and one with full-size bunks. The living room is L-shaped with the cream country style fitted kitchen at one end including a microwave, electric cooker, fridge, dishwasher, pine dining table and chairs.
The shower room has been refurbished providing a top-of-the-range electric shower, stylish vanity units and marble mosaic tiles, plus a heated towel rail. New flooring has completed the upgrade here and in the kitchen area.
There is a colour TV, video and DVD player, CD/Hifi system with a comfortable leather Chesterfield sofa, and upholstered wing armchair, with an electric fire in an old cast iron fireplace. All the old beams are left exposed, giving a very airy, spacious and comfortable atmosphere. There is a fixed electric panel heater in the main bedroom and kitchen area, a storage heater in the living area, a portable fan heater for the second bedroom, and a heated towel rail in the bathroom.
Ysgubor :
Ysgubor is one of our two new barn conversions. With its own furnished patio, it offers an ideal area for alfresco meals or just relaxing in the sunshine.
Ysgubor has a wealth of beams and open stone walls and is very tastefully decorated. It has a beautiful fully equipped oak Kitchen including a dishwasher, microwave and small freezer.
Ysgubor has full central heating, a colour TV, video, DVD player, CD/Hifi system. A cot, high chair, and safety gate is also available. All the pine furniture was bought locally and is hand made by a craftsman in keeping with the traditional styles.
Ysgubor has a twin-bedded downstairs bedroom with ensuite level entry shower room suitable for disabled people.
Upstairs there is a spacious bedroom with 3 single beds plus a combined TV/Video, and a third bedroom with a fantastic king-size 4-poster bed - The comfortable bathroom has a large whirlpool-type bath - perfect for relaxing - plus a shower!
