Charney Manor offers charming accommodation in Charney Bassett, perfect for residential retreats and day conferences. Our manor house near Wantage is in a beautiful setting and ideally placed for exploring Oxfordshire.
Our house is surrounded by countryside and offers refurbished and comfortable bedrooms. Some parts of the house date from the 13th Century. We offer a range of facilities for conferences, group retreats and training events.
We can sleep 35 residents or 43 with Gillet’s Cottage. The house is also suitable for residential or day events. Outside there are 3 acres of gardens to enjoy.
Most of the bedrooms are en suite and two have private bathrooms. All the bedrooms include tea and coffee-making facilities, towels and complimentary shower gel. Most rooms enjoy views of the garden. Rooms are based in The Manor, The Joan Vokins Annexe and The Barn.
We provide a continental breakfast in the main dining room and there is a two-course lunch and supper.
Whilst staying with us you can enjoy lots of beautiful countryside walks. Uffington White Horse and William Morris’s Kelmscott Manor are nearby. Enjoy a drink at The Chequers Inn, just a 3-minute walk away. You can visit the market towns of Wantage and Abingdon.
