Overdale offers self-catering accommodation located down a short farm track in the village of Burtersett near the market town of Hawes in North Yorkshire. The holiday cottage boasts stunning views over Upper Wensleydale and has an attached barn providing storage and a games room.
Accommodation
The kitchen in the holiday cottage is fully equipped offering a cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and a dining table that seats up to six people. There is an additional fridge in the barn.
The boot room on the ground floor has a washing machine and freezer and is an ideal place to dry off any wet dogs.
The sitting room, with smart TV (including Netflix), CD player and wifi, has fabulous views over Wensleydale. It has a cupboard housing a wide range of games and a bookcase with maps and local guides.
Upstairs there is a master bedroom as well as a second double room and a third bedroom with adult-size bunk beds. All of the bedrooms have stunning views.
The bedroom with bunk beds has a range of toys and games for you to use during your stay. Guests can bring their own bed linen and towels (pillows and duvets are provided) or these can provided for an additional £15 covering all guests.
The large bathroom on the first floor has a power shower over the bath, WC and wash basin. There is also a second WC room.
Outside you will find an enclosed garden to the front of the holiday cottage with a patio area and a drive with enough room for two cars. The garden area has a bench making it an ideal place to enjoy the lovely views.
Wensleydale is a haven for those who love walking, cycling and wildlife. It has a range of attractions including Semerwater, Aysgarth Falls and Bolton and Middleham castles. Hawes is the nearest market town where there are pubs, shops, cafes, and the famous Wensleydale Creamery and the National Park Museum.
