Our charming guest house dates back to the 16th Century. It maintains many of its original features whilst offering luxurious accommodation throughout. Colcharton is a working beef and sheep farm and you can enjoy glorious views throughout the property.
We offer a range of superb rooms to choose from. 1 luxury super king size en suite room with roll top bath and separate shower is available. We also have a king en suite room which enjoys beautiful views to Dartmoor. A lovely twin en suite room with a large shower is also available. All the rooms are furnished to a high standard and include a range of excellent facilities: flat-screen TV, Cole & Lewis toiletries, fresh flowers, towels, bathrobes and tea and coffee-making facilities.
You can relax and unwind in the large lounge. This includes comfy sofas, digital TV, DVD player and wood burner.
We provide a delicious breakfast using local produce, cooked on the farmhouse aga. Breakfast is served every morning in our dining room which comes with an oak dining suite. Breakfast includes a full English or continental.
We have a large conservatory for your use and our brand new garden room where you can sit and relax with a book and enjoy the beautiful garden.
We are the perfect base to explore the local area. We are only 2 miles west of the Market Town of Tavistock, recently voted Best Market Town in the country. The town now contains many specialist shops such as Crebers, a 100-year-old delicatessen, Westcountry Cheeses, fishmongers, antique shops, tea shops, cafes and restaurants. West of Dartmoor lies the Tamar Valley, a UNESCO Mining Heritage Site and designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With rolling hills and rich wildlife, the winding River Tamar provides a natural border between Devon and Cornwall. With a mix of local produce and National Trust places to visit.
