The Nest is an annex that has been recently revamped in a chic manner, carefully preserving its magnificent original elements while maximising the views of the encompassing garden. Crafted by the architect Walter Greaves in 1980, this property stands out as one of the select few late 20th Century buildings to receive the distinguished Grade II listing.
The ground level presents an airy, open-plan layout featuring a kitchenette and a dining nook that seats four. The living area is snug and inviting, offering views of the garden, complemented by a modern shower room with a toilet. This space is designed to be both modern and welcoming, perfect for social gatherings.
The upper floor houses two bedrooms - a king-sized one and another with twin beds, both tucked behind windows that showcase the lush greenery from every angle. These rooms are bathed in natural light and include ample storage.
Just outside, guests will find a private dining spot enclosed by hedges. The annex provides ample parking, including an electric car charging point and bike storage.
Visitors have exclusive access to a generous portion of the grounds, offering vast space for outdoor activities, discovering hidden pathways, or simply enjoying the tranquillity.
The annex is child-friendly, offering a cot and high chair on request. For older children (or the young at heart), amenities include a table tennis table, football goals, swing ball and badminton. There is also a tennis court available, tennis lessons can be arranged with prior notice.
