Star-Gazy, a delightful old Fisherman’s cottage positioned just 50 metres from Porthmeor Beach in Cornwall, offers accommodation for up to 6 guests. Upon entry, a brief flight of six steps leads to the dining room, while the remaining living spaces are conveniently spread out on a single level. Originally erected around 200 years ago as a fish store, it underwent a transformation into a cosy three-bedroom residence about a century ago.
Retaining many of its original features, such as stripped floorboards in the dining room and bedrooms, as well as beams and exposed granite walls in the dining area, the cottage exudes a bright and airy ambience overlooking the lush gardens in the meadow. Careful selection of furniture and fixtures enhances the cottage's unique charm and comfort.
Guests are welcomed with a thoughtful pack containing tea, coffee, and biscuits. The housekeeper ensures essential items like washing-up liquid, salt, pepper, and hand soap are readily available for convenience.
Professionally cleaned linen and towels are provided as part of the rental. Star-Gazy is exceptionally well-furnished, boasting:
