Gorgeous Glamping!
Experience the allure of a stay in the distinctive Plankbridge Shepherd’s Huts, nestled amidst the serene landscape of Drews Farm within the Southdowns National Park. Guests are welcomed into the tranquil ambience, surrounded by grazing sheep and blooming wildflowers. Drews Farm, overseen by the dedicated family duo of Anna and James, boasts a delightful array of petting sheep, cows, and chickens, along with meticulously tended arable land.
Conveniently situated just a leisurely 15-minute stroll from Rowlands Castle train station, with regular services to London, and in close proximity to local amenities including shops, pubs, and a café, guests can relish in a car-free retreat from arrival to departure.
The shepherd’s huts are crafted for indulgence, featuring sumptuous king-size beds, wood burners, luxurious direct mains hot water showers, flushing toilets, and fully-equipped kitchens, all against the breathtaking backdrop of countryside vistas.
Positioned a secluded 100 metres from the farmhouse and discretely nestled behind the farm barn, the two huts offer seclusion and tranquillity, set 30 metres apart and strategically oriented for privacy.
Each kitchen is thoughtfully furnished with an electric induction hob, a fridge complete with an ice box, a combination microwave oven, a kettle, and a butler's sink. For added convenience, a selection of homemade meals can be pre-ordered, ensuring effortless preparation after a day of exploration.
Deer Lodge beckons guests to savour the sunrise over the valley from the comfort of a walk-around king-size bed or to cosy up beside the wood-burning stove on chilly evenings. This expansive hut also boasts an outdoor fire pit and a magnificent double-ended freestanding copper bath, offering enchanting views across the woodland.
Facing westward, Leaping Lamb provides captivating sunset panoramas over the grazing fields, home to the Black Welsh Mountain and Wiltshire sheep, stretching towards the Sussex cows. Guests can unwind by the warmth of the wood-burning stove indoors or embrace the outdoor ambience beside the fire pit on balmy nights.
