Welsh Coastal Getaway!
Rhosboeth in Benllech stands out as a distinctive 4-star bed and breakfast, licensed and strategically situated along the A5025. Close to the Anglesey Coastal Path, it lies on the fringe of the beloved seaside village. With origins in the 1700s, Rhosboeth once thrived as a self-sufficient farm and boasts the honour of being the first property in Wales to receive CADW's Grade II listing.
The accommodation comprises 2 ground-floor bedrooms, once serving as byres, now charmingly named Beudy Modlen and Beudy Bela, Modlen and Bela being traditional Welsh cow names. Each room offers delightful sea views. Guests have shared access to a fridge stocked with fresh milk, alongside a comprehensive selection of reading materials, guidebooks, maps and brochures to help plan their adventures. The intimate setting of just four guest rooms ensures personalised attention throughout the stay.
Beudy Modlen features a double room with a king-sized bed and an additional "croglofft" sleeping area, complete with a compact ensuite bathroom and walk-in shower. The room charms guests with its high ceiling, oak beams, stone arches, unique windows and a nostalgic nod to its dairy farm past with Modlen’s milk chain.
Beudy Bela offers flexible sleeping arrangements with zip and link beds that can be configured as a super king or twin beds. Its spacious ensuite includes a walk-in shower, and the room is equipped with modern oak-topped furniture and retains many original architectural details like beams and stonework.
Amenities include tea and coffee-making facilities, a television, a hairdryer, locally sourced luxury toiletries, a suitcase stand, free Wi-Fi and access to a fridge. Guests are also treated to fresh, homemade cakes.
Anglesey caters to all family members, boasting a coastline designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, characterised by spectacular cliffs and extensive sandy beaches, perfect for swimming, sailing, water skiing, fishing, boating, diving, jet-skiing, or simply building sandcastles and sunbathing. Notable beaches like Traeth Bychan, Lligwy and Benllech, along with the quaint fishing village of Moelfre and its stunning coastal walks, are easily accessible. Inland, Anglesey’s rugged countryside offers ample opportunities for hiking, golfing, horse riding, bird watching, or just relaxing and taking in the picturesque scenery.
