Located near Ardgay, Braelangwell Lodge offers enchanting self-catering accommodation amidst the picturesque countryside of Sunderland in the Scottish Highlands. With its tranquil setting, the lodge provides an ideal escape from the bustle of modern life.
The spacious and elegantly furnished lodge caters to groups of up to 14 people, making it perfect for families or gatherings seeking a serene retreat. It's a haven for artists, hikers, and nature enthusiasts, nestled in the scenic River Carron Valley, and serves as an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area or embarking on a North Coast 500 tour.
Inside the welcoming lodge, guests are greeted by a large drawing room featuring an open log fire for cosy winter evenings. The fully-equipped kitchen, complete with two dishwashers, range and electric cookers, microwave, walk-in large fridges, and a utility area housing a washing machine, tumble dryer, and deep freeze, allows for the preparation of delicious meals. The elegant dining room, seating up to 16 guests, provides a perfect setting for enjoying home-cooked meals.
The west wing of the lodge offers a small sitting room with facilities including an open fire, dining area, Satellite TV, DVD player, and a compact but fully equipped kitchen. This versatile space can be separated from the larger section, offering cosy accommodation for smaller groups.
The lodge features a total of 14 single beds, with wood provided for the open fires, along with all necessary linen and towels. Outside, guests can unwind in the private garden and indulge in al fresco dining with the provided BBQ while soaking in the picturesque surroundings.
Nearby, the villages of Bonar Bridge and Ardgay are just a few miles away, while the town of Tain, approximately 20 minutes drive, offers a variety of supermarkets, boutique shops, galleries, museums, and the opportunity to tour the Glenmorangie Distillery. To the north lie the historic towns of Dornoch and Golspie, where guests can enjoy walks on the beach, shopping, golfing, or visiting the magnificent Dunrobin Castle.
