Beautiful Countryside Getaway!

Highgrove Barns in Sibdon Carwood offers superb self-catering accommodation in 18th-century barns, nestled in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in an elevated position halfway between Ludlow and Church Stretton, and just a mile from Craven Arms. The charming barns, The Dairy and The Byre, adjoin the owner’s house and provide fabulous ground-level accommodation with glorious views of the rolling countryside of the South Shropshire Hills.

Both barns are very cosy, featuring underfloor heating and LPG fires, making them perfect for winter stays. They are beautifully furnished and equipped to a high standard, each boasting a double bedroom with an en suite shower room. Situated on a level site, the barns have south-facing aspects and offer a large parking area with Electric Vehicle charging and a secure garden.

Fabulous features include exposed stone walls, vaulted ceilings with original oak beams, oak kitchen units, slate floors in the living areas, and carpeted bedrooms. Outside, guests can enjoy two furnished patios and a barbecue for al fresco dining in the pretty cottage garden.

The Byre, which sleeps 2 + cot + toddler bed, offers stunning views over the entire twenty-mile length of Wenlock Edge from the Corvedale nearly to Ironbridge, including a gorgeous vista of Sir Benjamin Flounders folly, once owned by the actress Julie Christie and recently fully restored.

On the other hand, The Dairy, accommodating 2 + cot, enjoys lovely views of the former farmyard and beyond over Stokesay to Whitcliffe and the Mortimer Forest.

Highgrove Barns serves as the perfect base for exploring the local area, with attractions such as the 12th Century fortified manor house of Stokesay Castle nearby, as well as the award-winning Secret Hills Discovery Centre and the Land of Lost Content Museum. Much Wenlock, a scenic country drive away, has been recognised as one of the best British villages to live in by Sunday Times and Savills Estate Agents.

Within a short drive, guests can visit Cardingmill Valley in Church Stretton and Ludlow, renowned for its culinary offerings with ancient street markets and annual culture and food festivals centred around its magnificent castle.
