English Countryside Getaway!
America Lodge is a traditional 19th-century farmhouse providing self-catering accommodation, ideal for both small and large groups. Additionally, there is a high-class barn conversion, The Granary, available for guests. Set overlooking the Chater Valley, America Lodge offers stunning views of classic rolling English countryside in a charming and secluded setting. The property features a large garden and patio area, making it ideal for those seeking a quiet rural retreat. It is conveniently close to the historic market towns of Oakham, Uppingham and Stamford, which boast unique shops and attractions.
The Main House
The large, fully equipped farmhouse kitchen includes a table that can seat 10 people, an electric cooker, a dishwasher, a Welsh dresser, a high chair and a hostess trolley. The adjoining utility room is furnished with a large fridge, freezer, microwave, washing machine, and iron with an ironing board. The inner sitting room features a cosy fireplace, a sofa, a bureau and a selection of board games. The large sitting room offers another fireplace, a TV with a DVD player, two sofas and a writing desk with a chair. Upstairs, there are four bedrooms: a king-size bedroom with an ensuite bathroom that includes a bath and shower, a triple bedroom with a double and a single bed, a twin bedroom and a double bedroom. A large family bathroom with a shower is also available. All beds are furnished with high-quality linen and towels are provided. Additionally, a travel cot is available. Outside there is ample car parking, a garden and a patio with garden furniture.
The Granary Barn
This is a charming small barn conversion that can be rented either with America Lodge or independently. This beautiful, secluded spot is perfect for a couple, with the option to add two children's beds if needed.
There is a travel cot available for babies and we are very family friendly.
There is a small woodland area to explore, making it a great place for children to play. Onsite, we keep free-range chickens, and guests are encouraged to feed the hens and collect eggs for breakfast if they wish.
We are located near the historic market towns of Oakham, Uppingham and Stamford (often called 'the finest stone town in England'). Each town offers abundant opportunities for shopping, sightseeing and exploring various attractions.
