Orange Squirrel Lodge, nestled in the heart of the stunning Scottish Highlands, offers a cosy retreat near the centre of Aviemore. This charming 2-bedroom lodge can accommodate 4 to 5 guests, making it an ideal getaway for couples seeking a romantic escape or families looking for adventure. The lodge provides a perfect base for exploring a range of outdoor activities, with hiking, walking, cycling, and mountain biking trails right on the doorstep. Winter sports enthusiasts will appreciate the nearby skiing slopes, just a short drive away.
Guests can explore the breathtaking Cairngorms National Park, relax in the private garden, or enjoy the comfort of the lodge's interior on rainy days. The living room features a cosy lounge area with an electric fire, perfect for chilly nights, and is equipped with blankets, a Smart TV, and a variety of children's toys, games, and books. The fully equipped kitchen includes a L’Or coffee machine, microwave, oven, and dishwasher, providing everything needed for preparing delicious meals. For added convenience, a washing machine is available, and the bathroom features an electric shower over the bath, suitable for a quick rinse or a relaxing soak.
Bedroom 1 is furnished with a double bed, while Bedroom 2 offers flexible sleeping arrangements with either two single beds or a king-size bed. An optional trundle bed is also available, making it suitable for families of five. The lovely garden is equipped with a BBQ and picnic table, perfect for enjoying summer evenings. For guests bringing bikes, skis, or snowboards, the lodge offers an Asgard storage shed capable of accommodating up to four mountain bikes.
Aviemore is a fantastic destination for dog owners, with numerous trails and woodland walks nearby. Orange Squirrel Lodge welcomes one dog (up to 20kg) for an additional charge of £30. Guests are asked to bring their own dog bed, blanket, and towels for cleaning muddy paws. Dogs are not permitted in the bedrooms or on the furniture and should not be left alone in the house.
