Nestled amidst rolling hills and breathtaking landscapes, this cosy retreat offers the perfect getaway. Located just 3 miles from Selkirk, 6 miles from Galashiels, and 8 miles from Melrose, the cottage is ideally situated near the central Border towns. Set on an upland stock farm with grazing for sheep and cattle, Nether Whitlaw Cottage is the upgraded former farm worker's dwelling, secluded in extensive grounds and half a mile from the nearest public road within an area of outstanding natural beauty.

The cottage is elegantly furnished to a high standard, providing comfortable accommodation amid stunning scenery. The well-equipped dining kitchen includes a modern electric cooker, microwave oven, dishwasher, and fridge freezer, along with a full range of crockery, cutlery, glasses, and cookware. Double doors open from the kitchen to the front garden, inviting guests to enjoy the outdoor space.

Nether Whitlaw Cottage offers a ground-floor double en-suite bedroom, a spacious king-sized bedroom upstairs, and a large twin room with the option for an additional single bed if needed. All bedrooms are furnished with pillows, modern non-feather duvets, and provided bed linen. The en-suite downstairs features a double bed, wardrobe, dressing table, and a bathroom with a power shower, WC, wash hand basin, shaver point, and heated towel rail. Upstairs, the twin room includes twin beds and ample storage, while the second bedroom boasts a king-sized bed and storage, both rooms offering lovely views of the Cheviot Hills.

Outside, guests have exclusive access to a large enclosed garden area and woodland, complete with garden furniture and a small garage. The panoramic views from the cottage encompass the Cheviot Hills and the Border Country, providing an unforgettable setting for relaxation and exploration.

The Scottish Borders region offers a diverse range of outdoor and rural activities to suit all interests, from hill walking and fishing in nearby rivers to horse riding and point-to-point racing. History enthusiasts can explore local museums and historical sites, showcasing artefacts from Roman times through the Border Reivers era. During the summer months, visitors can enjoy the vibrant Borders Festivals, including the Common Ridings in Selkirk, Hawick, and Lauder, the Braw Lads Gathering in Galashiels, and the Beltane in Peebles, each celebrating ancient traditions still cherished today.
