Ashe Farm Caravan & Campsite is located on a working farm in a picturesque area of Somerset, nestled between the Quantocks and the Blackdown Hills. The 6-acre campsite offers beautiful views of the surrounding countryside, providing a peaceful and secluded retreat. Situated just outside Thornfalcon near Taunton, the campsite is easily accessible, making it ideal for those towing a caravan.
The campsite features two fields, with the first field offering several hard-standing pitches, as well as a fully equipped toilet and shower block that includes disabled facilities and a laundry area.
For guests who prefer to stay in a caravan, Ashe Farm has three available: Willowbank, Willowbrook, and Fieldview. These caravans are located close to a 16th-century farmhouse overlooking a pond. Willowbank and Fieldview can accommodate up to six guests, with one double bedroom and two twin bedrooms. Willowbrook includes two bedrooms, one double and one twin. Each caravan also features a pull-out sofa bed in the lounge area. Amenities in all three caravans include hot water, a shower, toilet, fridge, gas cooker, heater, and a TV/DVD player. Gas is provided, while electricity is metered at £1 per unit.
Ashe Farm Caravan & Campsite is open from early April to late October and offers on-site amenities such as a tennis court and a children's play area. Guests can also enjoy a waymarked walk around the farm, which offers stunning views of the surrounding hills and valley. Pets are welcome, and while booking is recommended during peak season, it is not required during off-peak times; guests can simply arrive and choose their pitch.
Several local pubs, including the Farmers Arms in West Hatch, located just 2 miles away, offer food and drinks, providing a short drive or a pleasant evening stroll. Essential food items can be purchased at a nearby garage half a mile away, and a major supermarket is conveniently located within 2.5 miles.
The county town of Taunton is just 3 miles from the farm. Taunton offers a variety of amenities, including a good shopping centre with major supermarkets and department stores, 10-pin bowling, golf courses, the Brewhouse Theatre, an Odeon cinema, and swimming and sports facilities. It is also home to the Somerset County Cricket Club and the Taunton Racecourse.
