These include toilets and shower blocks available for a nominal fee, pot washing areas, and drinking water. A particular highlight for families is the extensive play area for children, which has proven to be very popular and is situated conveniently for those camping in non-electric pitches. For those who require it, there are 10 electric pitches available, and a chemical waste point is also provided.
For a more luxurious camping experience, Middlehills offers glamping accommodation in two pods, each capable of sleeping four people. Details and bookings can be made through the campsite's reception.
The campsite includes a small shop that stocks basic supplies and camping equipment. Additionally, a communal fridge/freezer is available in the reception area for guests to store their freezer blocks and other perishables. It’s important to note that all items stored must be clearly marked with your name and the date. Upon departure, guests are reminded to remove any of their food items; any out-of-date food left behind will be disposed of and is left at the owner's risk.
Middlehills is committed to environmental sustainability, encouraging guests to make use of the recycling facilities provided. Fire pits are another feature offered at the campsite, available for hire on a first-come, first-served basis, along with briquettes and starter packs which can be purchased at the shop.
The campsite has a firm policy on noise, with a strict curfew enforced after 10:30 pm to ensure all guests have a peaceful stay. While the campsite does not allow young groups, it is very welcoming towards family groups. Open fires are permitted as long as they are contained within hired fire pits and raised off the ground.
Animal lovers will enjoy the resident pigs and ponies at Middlehills, which are always happy to receive some attention and treats from guests. Additionally, for those who need to stay connected, Wi-Fi is now available in certain areas across the site.
