Hadspen Glamping, Castle Cary, Somerset

Hadspen Glamping in Castle Cary offers an eco-conscious glamping experience in the heart of the Somerset countryside. Designed to provide a comfortable getaway, the site is ideal for families, couples, and groups seeking a unique rural getaway. With three thoughtfully crafted safari-style lodges to choose from, each offering privacy and scenic views, guests are guaranteed a peaceful and memorable stay.

All lodges at Hadspen Glamping are powered by solar energy and heated with a combination of sustainable wood-fired stoves and LPG gas, blending luxury with environmental responsibility. Each lodge includes a welcome pack, a guide to the local area, and a BBQ for alfresco dining. Guests can also purchase a selection of hampers for added convenience.

Horscombe Lodge accommodates up to four people (three adults and one child) with a layout comprising a double bedroom and a bunk room, with the upper bunk suitable for children aged 12 and under. The open-plan living and kitchen area offers a relaxed space to cook and dine, and the en suite shower room provides modern comfort. The veranda with seating makes a perfect spot for enjoying a morning coffee in the sun.

Lime Kiln Lodge is ideal for groups of up to five people (four adults and one child), featuring a double bedroom and a second bedroom with a double bed and an upper single bunk. The lodge offers a spacious open-plan living and kitchen area, a private en suite shower room, and a veranda with outdoor seating. A particular highlight is the private wood-fired hot tub, perfect for unwinding in the evening with views across the countryside.

Grisway Lodge, the largest of the three, sleeps up to seven guests (six adults and one child) and includes two double bedrooms and a bunk room with a double bed and an upper single bunk. The open-plan living and kitchen area provides a sociable space for families or friends, and the en suite shower room ensures convenience and privacy. Guests can relax after a day of exploring on the furnished veranda, which looks out over the rural surroundings.

For those attending Glastonbury Festival, Hadspen Glamping offers a tailored package that includes accommodation, daily breakfast hampers, and transport to and from the festival site. Guests must bring their own festival tickets, but the package provides a comfortable and stress-free base for the duration of the event.

The glamping site is ideally located for exploring the local area. Just a five-minute walk away, The Newt in Somerset offers a wealth of attractions including a restaurant, farm shop, museum, Roman villa, and beautifully maintained gardens. Guests can also venture further afield to the historic city of Wells and the cultural heritage of Bath, both rich in architectural landmarks and local charm.

With high-quality accommodation, a commitment to sustainability, and easy access to some of Somerset’s most notable attractions, Hadspen Glamping offers a peaceful and stylish escape in the countryside.
