The flat and spacious site features generous plots and wide, safe lawns where children can play freely. Open from Easter or 1 April (whichever comes first) until 31 October, it welcomes motorhomes, touring caravans, seasonal caravans and tents. For those who prefer a little extra comfort, static caravans are available for hire, along with camping pods offering a simpler alternative to tent camping.
Guests can enjoy leisurely walks along the river, paddle or wild swim, or hire a firepit to toast marshmallows. Many choose to sit back with a hot drink or something chilled while taking in the surrounding views. Riverside is also located within one of Europe’s darkest night sky areas, making it an excellent spot for stargazing. The site is a convenient base for a wide range of outdoor activities, including walking, cycling, canoeing and birdwatching.
Facilities are designed to offer comfort and convenience. The modern toilet block includes hot showers, a laundry room and covered washing-up areas, all maintained to a high standard. A large wooden gazebo with seating and electricity provides shade on warmer days and shelter when needed. Families will appreciate the selection of children’s games available to borrow and the central lawn, which offers ample space for play.
Many visitors return to Riverside year after year, drawn by its tranquillity, natural beauty and welcoming atmosphere. The surrounding area offers scenic routes for walkers and cyclists of all abilities, whether taking a gentle riverside stroll, exploring the Epynt Way or Heart of Wales Trail, or cycling the National Cycle Network, which passes directly by the site.
