The shepherd’s hut, which sleeps up to two people, is perfectly suited to a romantic getaway. Inside, guests will find a cosy sitting area complete with a TV and DVD player. The double bed can be folded away into the wall during the day to create additional space. The hut also features an ensuite bathroom and a well-equipped kitchenette with a mini fridge, hob and toaster. Underfloor heating and a log burner ensure warmth throughout the colder months. Outside, a seating area and BBQ provide an ideal setting for al fresco dining in fine weather.
In addition to the shepherd’s hut, Stackstead Farm offers five camping pods, each designed for comfort and convenience. Two pods include a fitted double mattress and space for two additional single airbeds. Another pod is furnished with two single beds and room for two more airbeds. Two further pods each offer a double mattress and a sofa bed. All pods benefit from a mini fridge, kettle and underfloor heating, while the Ribblesdale and Kingsdale pods also include a microwave, toaster, TV and toilet.
For those who prefer more traditional accommodation, the site offers pitches for camping and touring caravans. All pitches feature hard standings and electric hook-up. The facilities available onsite include a toilet and shower block, washing-up area, drying room and a leisure centre equipped with a swimming pool, gym, spa and sauna.
The surrounding area provides a wealth of opportunities for outdoor activities. Visitors can enjoy scenic walking and cycling routes, along with pursuits such as caving and horse riding. Local attractions include Ingleton Waterfalls, Ingleborough Caves, Malham Cove, Warton Crag and Lancaster Canal, ensuring there is something to appeal to every type of traveller.
