Its peaceful setting and elevated position create a sense of seclusion while still being well placed for exploring the surrounding area.

Branault House offers welcoming accommodation for up to four guests and benefits from a spacious enclosed garden, perfect for children and pets to play safely. Just a short stroll away lie the white sands of Kilmory beach, while the nearby hills provide excellent opportunities for scenic walks. Inside, guests can relax by the cosy log fire in the living room, which also features satellite television. Fascadale Lodge is built upon the remains of a 15th-century shepherd’s cottage and enjoys commanding views across Fascadale Bay, with sweeping panoramas of northern islands and eastern mountain ranges. The sunlit patio is a wonderful place to relax, whether watching birds, scanning the sea for dolphins, whales and sharks, or simply enjoying the sounds and scents of the coastline. This property offers a truly immersive coastal experience, blending history with natural beauty.

Perched above the horseshoe-shaped Fascadale Bay, Fascadale House offers striking views of turquoise waters and rugged coastline from both the patio and the lounge. Guests can unwind to the sound of waves breaking on the shore and breathe in the salty sea air while taking in views of islands to the north. For added relaxation, the house includes a sauna, while stormy weather transforms the setting into a dramatic spectacle best enjoyed from the warmth of the fireside. Wildlife spotting is a highlight here, with basking sharks, dolphins and whales frequently seen offshore.

Fascadale Cottage sits directly on the coastline, built on the remains of a historic netsman’s bothy. Its position offers spectacular views of the mountains of Eigg, Muck and Rum, along with the distant Cuillins of Skye. Below lies Fascadale Bay, where green and turquoise waters lap against smooth stones shaped by countless storms. At low tide, pale sand is revealed, lending the bay its distinctive colouring. This spot once served as a landing place for fishing boats, with the historic ice house still standing as a reminder of its past.

Achateny House boasts stunning northward views across the sea towards Skye, Eigg, Rum and Muck. The surrounding garden attracts a wealth of birdlife, including songbirds and sparrowhawks, while deer can often be seen grazing nearby overnight before retreating to the hills at dawn. Achateny beach is reached via a short walk down a rugged private track, where otters are frequently spotted fishing among the reefs and the quiet shoreline is alive with bird activity.

Achateny Cottage is a truly picturesque property, with photos capturing its charm and breathtaking views of Eigg, Rum and Skye. Formerly the farmhouse for Achateny farm, it once included a small bothy for the shepherd. Today, it offers comfortable accommodation with one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and a bunk-bed room, along with two bathrooms. The well-equipped kitchen ensures guests have everything they need for a relaxed and self-sufficient stay.

Swordle Byre is a beautifully converted byre that blends original character with contemporary design. Retaining its original walls and courtyard, the interior has been stylishly updated. The spacious living area features a traditional log-burning stove and a large widescreen television with satellite channels. With five bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, the property provides ample space for large families or groups. Additional sofa beds make it particularly flexible for those travelling with children.

Swordle Bay House offers expansive windows framing panoramic views across a white sand bay towards Eigg, Muck, Rum and the Cuillins of Skye. From the comfort of the fireside, guests can enjoy golden summer sunsets or watch the drama of winter storms roll in. The beach lies directly in front of the house, providing a safe and inviting space for children to build sandcastles, explore rock pools and paddle in shallow waters. Secluded at the end of a private road, this peaceful setting is ideal for swimming, boating, sunbathing and relaxed barbecues.

The wider area of Ardnamurchan is renowned for its rich wildlife and natural beauty. The Estates are particularly well known for their red deer, carefully bred and managed over generations, while roe deer are commonly seen across the peninsula and fallow deer inhabit wooded areas near Loch Mudle. Fishing enthusiasts can explore the many small lochs and streams scattered throughout the Estates, which are ideal for catching brown trout.
