The apartment is housed within a former coach house dating back to around 1600 and is rich in history and character. Originally serving horse-drawn traffic travelling along the old A4 route to London, the building has retained many of its original features, including exposed oak beams and Bath stone walls. Beneath the apartment, the old stagecoach bays can still be seen, offering a fascinating glimpse into the building’s past and adding to its distinctive charm.
Accommodation is arranged over the lower floor and is well suited to families and groups. The kitchen is fully equipped with a range cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, Neff dishwasher, waste disposal unit and washing machine, providing everything needed for a comfortable self-catering stay. A large dining room comfortably seats up to ten guests, making it ideal for shared meals and social gatherings. The lounge offers two sofas, additional tub chairs, a widescreen television, DVD player and hi-fi, creating a welcoming space to relax. Wi-Fi is available on request.
There are four bedrooms in total, including two with en-suite facilities, along with a separate family bathroom. This flexible layout provides comfortable accommodation for a range of group sizes, whether visiting for a short break or a longer stay.
Batheaston is ideally located for exploring both the city of Bath and the surrounding countryside. Just a short distance away, Bath offers world-famous attractions such as the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey and its celebrated Georgian architecture, alongside excellent shopping, cafés and restaurants. Closer to the village, visitors can enjoy scenic walks along the River Avon and through the beautiful Avon Valley. The nearby Cotswolds offer charming villages, rolling hills and traditional country pubs, while destinations such as Lacock and Bradford-on-Avon are easily reached for days out rich in history and character.
