The farm has been owned and worked by the same family since 1703 and features acres of open grounds for guests to enjoy. These are perfect for picnics, gentle walks and spotting local wildlife. A four acre meadow with a pond is currently being restored as a wildlife haven and provides a particularly tranquil space where guests can relax and enjoy the natural surroundings.
The Old Wagon House is a characterful cottage that once housed the farm’s heavy horse carts and has been carefully restored to provide high quality accommodation. Inside, a beamed open plan living and dining area includes a fully equipped kitchen, while the comfortable living space features a wood burner, television and DVD player. French doors open onto a secluded patio area, ideal for al fresco dining in the afternoon sun. The kitchen includes an electric cooker, microwave, fridge with small freezer and dishwasher. The cottage also offers a romantic double bedroom with a lace covered four poster bed, along with a stylish wet room featuring a WC and hand basin.
The Stable is a sympathetically converted stone barn offering cosy and comfortable accommodation. Located just one mile from the main A395 leading into Cornwall, it is also a convenient stop off point for those travelling through the area. Guests can enjoy a restful night’s sleep on a super king size bed, which can be unzipped to create two single beds if required. The en suite bathroom includes a shower, hand basin and WC, and additional facilities include a television and tea and coffee making facilities.
On site, guests can also make use of the farm shop and Rosehip Barn, a versatile space that hosts retreats, weddings and weekly yoga classes. The surrounding area offers plenty to see and do, including Davidstow Airfield and the Cornwall War Museum with its extensive Second World War exhibits. Hidden Valley provides a popular family run attraction with mazes, treasure hunts and train rides, while Trethorne Golf Club offers award winning greens built to USGA specification and a clubhouse serving excellent food.
