On entering the property, guests are welcomed into a cosy lounge furnished with both two- and three-seater settees, creating a comfortable space to relax after a day spent exploring the surrounding countryside. The adjoining dining area enjoys uninterrupted views across the rural landscape, providing a pleasant and calming setting for shared meals.
The spacious kitchen forms the heart of the home and is well equipped for self-catering stays. It features a gas cooker with a double oven and overhead extractor, fridge/freezer, microwave oven, integrated dishwasher and a breakfast bar. The kitchen window looks out across open fields, allowing guests to enjoy the scenery while preparing meals. Adjacent to the kitchen is a large utility room, complete with a washing machine, drying facilities including a Lakeland Electric Airer with cover, and a caddy for compostable items, adding convenience for longer stays.
The master bedroom is thoughtfully designed for comfort and flexibility. It includes a super king 6ft zip-linked bed, which can be converted into twin 3ft beds upon request, making it suitable for a variety of guest arrangements. The room benefits from an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath and a heated towel rail, as well as underfloor heating. Storage is generous, with full-height wardrobes and a chest of drawers, and the room is completed by a wall-mounted Smart TV. Fresh bed linen and towels are provided, with additional supplies available if required.
The second bedroom also offers flexible sleeping arrangements, with a 5ft zip-link bed that can be set up as a king or small single beds. Windows frame views of the surrounding fields, reinforcing the calm rural atmosphere. This bedroom includes full-height wardrobes, a chest of drawers, a Freeview TV/DVD and a recently added workstation, making it ideal for guests who wish to combine a countryside stay with remote working.
Accessibility has been carefully considered throughout Honeysuckle Lodge. The separate shower room, located opposite the second bedroom, has been upgraded to create a tiled wet room with a toilet, wash basin, open shower and heated towel rail, complemented by underfloor heating. The en-suite bathroom also benefits from underfloor heating and includes a folding shower screen over the bath. With its adaptable bed layouts and well-planned facilities, the cottage is well suited to couples, friends sharing accommodation or families.
