Dreamy Hollow Woodland Campsite, Stanhoe, King's Lynn, Norfolk

Situated close to the North Norfolk Coast, Dreamy Hollow offers an idyllic escape into the tranquillity of nature with its private woodland campsite. Guests can wake to the sound of birdsong beneath the cool shade of oak trees and spend their days exploring the surrounding area, before returning to the warmth of a campfire or relaxing in a hammock as evening draws in.

Set across 3.5 acres of protected woodland, the campsite features thirty distinct, named pitches designed to provide privacy and a cosy atmosphere without feeling isolated. Visitors can choose from shaded pitches for warmer days or sunnier spots for those who prefer a little more light. The wider site extends to 7.5 acres, enhancing the sense of space and seclusion.

Dreamy Hollow embraces an “Almost Wild” camping experience, with intentionally minimal yet practical facilities. Amenities include four flush toilets, two showers, a camping toilet disposal point, a cold water washing area and two potable water points. For guests staying deeper within the woodland, the Bunker provides a camping toilet, and additional camping toilets are available to hire if required.

Ideal for lovers of low-density woodland camping, the site offers exclusive pitches, some particularly suited to hammock camping. Up to two dogs per pitch are welcome by arrangement at no extra charge, and campfires are permitted in the provided firebaskets without any rental fee. Additional tents or gazebos are also welcome, provided they are positioned safely with regard to fire precautions.

Children under the age of three can stay free of charge. To preserve the peaceful atmosphere, vehicles are kept to a minimum, with a designated car park and two camper van spaces available among the thirty pitches. Pitch sizes vary to accommodate solo travellers, couples and families, with certain combined pitches offering generous space of up to 53m by 23m. There are also three adult-only pitches for those seeking a quieter retreat.

Late arrivals are catered for with convenient self check-in via the internet, and a resident warden is always on site to provide assistance. The campsite is entirely traffic free, enhancing its calm and natural setting.

Located just six miles from the expansive sands of Brancaster Beach, Dreamy Hollow is well placed for coastal adventures. Guests can also enjoy a scenic hour-long walk to The Duck at Stanhoe, renowned for its excellent cuisine and ales. The surrounding area offers walking and cycling routes, the opportunity to explore the historic WW1 Lovat Scout training trenches, and even archery sessions by booking directly with local instructor Andy Beer.
