High Lodge Holiday Lodges are set within 120 acres of tranquil woodland and picturesque Suffolk countryside, offering a choice of traditional and luxury self-catering accommodation. Ideally located just a short drive from the popular coastal towns of Southwold and Aldeburgh, as well as the renowned RSPB Minsmere reserve, the lodges provide a peaceful rural escape while remaining close to some of Suffolk’s best-loved attractions.

The site offers three distinct lodge settings, each with its own atmosphere. Lakeview and Waters Edge lodges overlook a well-stocked fishing lake, creating a relaxing waterside setting, while the Claywood lodges enjoy open countryside views and are conveniently positioned near the on-site facilities. In total, there are 19 lodges across the park, all designed to provide a comfortable base with easy access to the clubhouse and leisure activities.

Each lodge features one, two or three bedrooms, accommodating between two and six guests. All include a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable living area and complimentary Wi-Fi. Private balconies with outdoor furniture allow guests to make the most of the surrounding scenery, whether enjoying peaceful lake views or looking out across rolling countryside. The lodges are non-smoking throughout, and both the Waters Edge and Claywood lodges also benefit from private outdoor hot tubs, adding an extra touch of luxury for guests looking to unwind after a day outdoors.

High Lodge offers a range of activities on site, making it an ideal choice for both relaxing breaks and countryside adventures. Fishing is available on the lake, while those seeking something more active can enjoy shooting and archery. The woodland and rural surroundings provide a calm setting for year-round escapes, whether guests are planning a short break or a longer stay.

The lodges are also perfectly placed for exploring the wider area around Hinton, near Darsham. Nature lovers can visit Darsham Marshes, a Suffolk Wildlife Trust reserve with marshland, ponds and varied birdlife. A little further afield is RSPB Minsmere, one of the UK’s premier birdwatching reserves, known for its diverse habitats including reedbeds, woodland and heathland. Westleton Heath National Nature Reserve is another nearby highlight, offering open heathland, sandy paths and far-reaching coastal views.

For a classic Suffolk day out, the seaside town of Southwold is within easy reach, with its well-known pier, beach and charming town centre. Aldeburgh is also close by, offering a relaxed coastal atmosphere and a strong connection to local arts and culture. History enthusiasts can visit Framlingham Castle, while museums such as Saxmundham Museum and Dunwich Museum provide further insight into the area’s heritage.
