Rosemount Cottages & Bothy, Garve, Ross-Shire, Scottish Highlands
Rosemount Cottage One and Rosemount Cottage Two, the larger of the three, each accommodate up to four guests. Rosemount Bothy is ideally suited to two guests, but can also sleep up to four with the addition of a double sofa bed. The cottages share off-road parking for up to five vehicles and benefit from a generous garden space of approximately half an acre set along the Black Water riverbank. All three cottages are well equipped for a comfortable self-catering stay, with Freesat TV, Wi-Fi and fully fitted kitchens. Each also includes its own garden area and ample parking.
Guests staying at Rosemount can enjoy exclusive fishing rights along the Black Water River, which flows through the property. The only exception is that the garden of The Bothy is not enclosed.
Located in the village of Garve, Rosemount provides an excellent base for exploring the Highlands. It offers an authentic Highland experience while remaining within easy reach of Inverness, approximately 25 miles away, and Inverness Airport, around 40 miles away. Ullapool is also easily accessible, with the CalMac ferry offering the opportunity for a day trip to the Isle of Lewis. The Isle of Skye, renowned for its dramatic landscapes, is just over an hour away by car.
Garve’s railway station is within walking distance of Rosemount and offers three trains daily, providing an excellent way to enjoy scenic journeys to destinations such as Plockton, Kyle of Lochalsh or Inverness. For those following the NC500 route, the famous Bealach na Ba pass is only around an hour’s drive away and offers a spectacular journey through the Pass of the Cattle to Applecross.
