The ground floor is thoughtfully laid out to provide both comfort and practicality. An entrance hall leads through to a welcoming sitting room featuring a multi-fuel stove, alongside a dining room with an electric fire set within a traditional surround. The well-equipped dining kitchen offers everything needed for self-catering, while a separate utility room includes a toilet, wash hand basin, washing machine and tumble dryer.
Upstairs, the cottage offers four bedrooms, including two doubles and two singles, accommodating up to six guests. A family bathroom with a three-piece suite and electric shower serves the bedrooms. Bed linen is provided, and for those travelling with young children, a travel cot and high chair are also available.
The property is equipped with a wide range of facilities to ensure a comfortable stay, including an electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster, food processor and steamer. Additional conveniences include an automatic washer, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board, as well as entertainment features such as a television with Freeview, DVD player, radio and CD player.
Heating is provided by storage heaters throughout, with electricity included in the cost of the stay. An open fire is available from mid-September to mid-May, with fuel supplied, adding to the cottage’s cosy atmosphere during cooler months.
Outside, guests can enjoy the garden area with its seating and barbecue, providing a pleasant space for outdoor dining and relaxation. Private parking is also available. One well-behaved pet is welcome for an additional weekly fee.
Ideally located, Blandswath Cottage serves as an excellent base for exploring the Eden Valley, the Pennine Hills and the scenic Howgill Fells. It is also conveniently situated for visiting both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales.
