Gosforth Hall Inn, Gosforth, Seascale, Cumbria
All rooms and apartments offer luxurious accommodation with wonderful views across the surrounding countryside. Among the most impressive options is the Copley Suite, which occupies the entire south wing on the top floor. It features one of the largest bedrooms and bathrooms in West Cumbria, providing guests with an especially spacious and indulgent stay. The suite includes a king size four poster bed, smart TV, comfortable settee and an alcove with a table and chairs. The bathroom is equally impressive, offering a large circular bath with an overhead shower, twin sinks, a dressing table and a lounging settee.
The superior king size rooms are situated within the Grade II listed building and combine original historic character with modern comfort. These rooms feature beautiful original sandstone walls, exposed beams and fireplaces in some of the bedrooms, reflecting the heritage of the property. Oak furniture, king size beds and smart TVs provide contemporary touches, while underfloor heating in both the bedrooms and walk-in wet rooms ensures a warm and relaxing stay.
Additional accommodation can be found in the purpose-built Annex. Constructed in 2010 at a cost of around £1 million, the Annex has been designed to resemble a traditional barn conversion rather than a modern build. With its local slate roof, sandstone structure and attractive courtyard layout, it blends seamlessly with the 350 year old Hall. Annex A and C offer spacious two bedroom apartments featuring en suite bedrooms, open plan living areas, dining space, a settee, smart TV, sink and fridge. The rooms within the Annex can also be converted into twin en suites, providing flexibility for different types of guests.
Dining at Gosforth Hall Inn is equally enjoyable. The restaurant caters for a wide range of tastes, offering a menu that includes popular homemade pies, fish, chicken, steak and vegetarian dishes. In addition to the main menu, a regularly changing specials menu ensures there is always something new to try. The bar and lounge area offers a comfortable setting for relaxing with a newspaper or enjoying a drink, with the bar well stocked and serving an extensive range of ales.
