The hotel is open seasonally from March through to October.

Guests visiting for either business or leisure can expect a high standard of comfort and attentive service throughout their stay. The hotel features a range of inviting spaces, including spacious lounges, a flower-filled veranda and an elegant Edwardian restaurant. For relaxation and entertainment, there is a snooker room and a 1920s ballroom complete with its original sprung maple dance floor. The hotel is fully licensed and offers two bars, providing plenty of opportunities to unwind. A variety of room types are available, including family rooms, doubles, twins, suites and a four poster room, ensuring there is something to suit every guest.

Dining at The Walpole is centred around freshly prepared, home-cooked food. The Restaurant, Bar Lounge and Terrace are open daily from 7am, serving breakfast between 7am and 9:30am. Guests can also enjoy a selection of hot and cold snacks available throughout the day until 9pm, making it easy to dine at their convenience.

One of the most distinctive features of the hotel is its 1927 Otis trellis gated lift, which serves all five floors and stands as a striking centrepiece within the building. This feature forms part of the hotel’s Living Museum, an ongoing project that aims to encompass the entire property. The museum showcases a fascinating collection of memorabilia, historical documentation and educational displays, offering guests a unique insight into the building’s rich past and the era it represents.
