Set amongst the trees, the five well-appointed log cabins have been thoughtfully designed to provide comfort throughout the year. Guests can often spot rabbits, pheasants, buzzards, woodpeckers and even deer from their accommodation, adding to the peaceful woodland setting. Each cabin also benefits from a private balcony with outdoor seating, making it easy to enjoy breakfast outside or simply take in the surrounding scenery.
For those looking to add a little extra luxury to their stay, Nuthatch Lodge, Hedgehog Lodge, Woodpecker Lodge and Tawny Owl Lodge all include private hot tubs, offering the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring Somerset. Every cabin also features a cosy wood burner, making Alpine Grove just as inviting during the colder months, while skylights in selected cabins provide an ideal opportunity for stargazing on clear evenings.
There are five cabins to choose from, catering for a variety of group sizes and holiday styles. Nuthatch Lodge sleeps four guests and offers flexible sleeping arrangements in the second bedroom. Woodpecker Lodge also sleeps four, while Hedgehog Lodge, Tawny Owl Lodge and Roe Deer Cabin each accommodate up to five guests, making them ideal for families or small groups.
Inside, each cabin features an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area designed with comfort and practicality in mind. The lounges provide comfortable seating alongside a TV and DVD player, with Nuthatch Lodge also benefiting from a Smart TV. The well-equipped kitchens include an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and all the crockery and utensils needed for self-catering, while BBQs are available for guests wishing to dine outdoors.
The bedrooms are tastefully furnished, with each cabin offering a spacious main bedroom alongside a second bedroom configured with a choice of single beds, bunk beds or an additional double bed depending on the property. Bathrooms are equally well equipped, with either a walk-in shower or a bath with shower over, depending on the cabin selected.
Guests staying at Alpine Grove can also enjoy access to the excellent facilities at the neighbouring touring park. During the warmer months, from April to September, the heated outdoor swimming pool is a welcome place to relax or cool off, while the on-site shop stocks a range of local produce and everyday holiday essentials.
