The farm itself is home to an interesting collection of animals, including Canadian bison, red deer, alpacas, Shire horses and Mangalitza pigs. Guests are welcome to experience life on the working beef and arable farm during their stay.
There are two log cabins to choose from, with each sleeping four to five guests. Both have their own private decking and spacious hot tub, providing somewhere to relax outdoors throughout the year.
Forest Lodge enjoys a particularly peaceful position overlooking large natural ponds and the farm’s 100-acre woodland. The private decking and hot tub make the most of these views, while the lodge itself is comfortably furnished for a relaxing stay.
Alpaca Lodge is situated closer to the farm, next to the caravan and camping fields. It also has private decking and a hot tub, with the added bonus of views of the farm’s alpacas during the summer months.
Hill Farm is also a good option for those who would like to bring their horse on holiday. Stabling can be arranged next to the livery yard, and there are plenty of opportunities for off-road riding along tracks through the surrounding woodland and farmland.
Guests can also visit the farm shop, which stocks home-produced meat alongside homemade pies, jams and chutneys. BBQ meat packs can be pre-ordered ready for a stay, making outdoor dining particularly convenient. The shop also sells a range of alpaca wool products, including items made with wool from the farm’s own herd and products sourced from native communities in the Andes of Peru.
With private hot tubs, extensive countryside, farm animals and the National Forest on the doorstep, Hill Farm Log Cabins provide a comfortable base for enjoying a rural break in Leicestershire.
